Logging FT8 QSOs

N1MM using WSJT or JTDX

WSJT

If the user is using WSJT they will need to also be using JTAlert.

Setup JTAlert to use a text file log and when a QSO gets logged in WSJT, JTAlert will send N1MM the QSO details and will be logged in N1MM.

To make this happen open N1MM config section and click on the broadcast data tab. At the bottom you will see a section that mentions JTAlert. Just enable that and JTAlert will pass the QSO data into N1MM.

All of the QSO's logged will be logged in their original modes. When you export the Cabrillo file for the VHF contest all contacts will be outputted as RTTY (RY).

JTDX

If the user is using JTDX you go into JTDX's setup section and on the reporting tab there will be a Section called External Logbook Connection. Enable that setting and close JTDX.

Now open N1MM and go to the config section again and on the broadcast data tab select the bottom selection on that page. This will allow JTDX to log directly into N1MM when a QSO is saved in JTDX.

All of the QSO's logged will be logged in their original modes. When you export the Cabrillo file for the VHF contest all contacts will be outputted as RTTY (RY).

Thanks to N2AMG for the above procedure.
